Clapping

July 25, 2005 · Leave a Comment

You are looking so tall already, when you stretch out on the changing table. At your appointment last week they said you were 27″ tall, 3″ growth in 3 months. WOW We went to the farmers market on Sunday and you liked it, but got a bit warm. You were fascinated by all the people and got lots of compliments. You did not even mind having on a big floppy hat to keep the sun out of your eyes. You also learned to clap your hands. You seemed a bit cranky later in the day, but I think it might be the heat or just discomfort over the new teeth that are coming in. You will soon have 6 chompers. We also tried grapes & blueberries, you liked the grapes better.

Ear Infection

July 13, 2005 · Leave a Comment

You got an ear infection about a week ago, we thought maybe from swimming, but the doctor says no. Then over the weekend diarrhea which we thought was from the medicine, but could have been the flu that was going around school. Yesterday we were all home sick. You continue to be happy even on days when you are sick, with just minor times that you are fussy.

4th of July

Madi, you were just darling this weekend. Saturday & Sunday we took turns watching and playing with you while the other was outside working on the yard. Sunday night we went for a stroll and you cried for Joellen, Tammy & Gloria, not sure if you were just tired from a disrupted weekend nap schedule or you are starting to distinguish between strangers and family. Monday we went to the pool party at Steve & Vicki’s, and you had a blast floating in Joey’s hand me down baby float. You really enjoyed the water and Papa took lots of video while you floated with daddy. Later in the day Scarlet came to visit. At the moment she is half your age, but that won’t last for long. You liked swimming in your little ladybug sandbox pool, but she did not. We thought maybe the water was too cold and added warm from the hot tub, but she did not like that either. She is not as bad a baby as her parents say she is, just a little bit more sensitive or temperamental then you, but isn’t that what make each of us unique?
