Ear Tubes

Your surgery this morning went fine. We arrived around 6:30 am, we met with several different providers that all thought your were cute, except for volunteer Bob who thought you were a boy. We were done and back home around 10 am. By 11 you were acting just like normal and running down the hall and standing on your chair. As I left for work at noon you decided it was time to take a nap. Tomorrow it is back to school. And hopefully no ear infections in the foreseeable future.

On Saturday we went to Tyler’s adoption party in Eagan. You got to see Tyler, Maizy, Haley & Olivia. Today was cleaning day, so rather un-eventful around the house. Tomorrow we go for your pre-op check up in the afternoon, and then it is tubes early Tuesday morning.
Ears & Eyes

Well the eyes look back to normal and you returned to school on Thursday. Next is to get those ears taken care of. You will have tubes put in on Tuesday morning. The tough part will be that you can’t eat for 6 hours prior and drink for 3 hours prior, so hopefully you will be sleepy that early in the morning.

Well today we move on to the eyes. Pink eye is going around school and you were sent home this morning with the same. We saw the doctor and fortunately you slept through the hour wait at the clinic. You should be all clear to return to school tomorrow.

Bruise

Although you have had many run in’s with the furniture and a few bruises, last night you hit your head on a spindle for the railing and got a tiny little cut above your eye. You handled it pretty well and we put ice on it. This morning it doesn’t look too bad.

Sometimes when we say nose you point to your nose or stick your nose out to be wiped. You also point to your ears when we say ears.

Your big sister and family were over for Christmas today. You had fun playing with Brody. You got a Leap Pad alphabet phonics toy for the fridge.
