Sit Down

You have 1 favorite book and 1 other close second. They are the “colors” and “shapes” books that we bought from a door to door salesman last summer. When you go thru them you can point out or say the colors when asked. You also can find or say many items, such as frog, bunny, sun, stars, shoes, socks, bubbles, banana, etc… But the funniest item is a chair, which you call a “sit down”.

Accident

You had an accident today at school. Apparently after breakfast you took off for the toy area, but tripped and fell and landed head first into a shelf on a book case. Ms. Jenni iced it and held you for a while until the crying stopped. We even had to sign an accident report.

Busy weekend

We had a busy weekend. We left for Great Grandma’s at noon on Thursday with plans to spend the night at Grandpa & Grandma’s. But you were sleeping when we hit Fergus so we went the entire way. You got to visit with many relatives, some of which you had not met before. You were pretty good and impressed them all with your ability to identify colors, shapes & objects and to remember names. After another long drive we got home this afternoon. Monday is back to school and a more normal routine.

Tantrum

Well, it is official, I think the terrible two’s have started and you threw your first tantrum tonight that probably lasted 15 minutes. Screaming, yelling “NO” and throwing your sippy cup.

1st Camping Trip

We went on your first camping trip in our new camper trailer. You were a bit under the weather yet from being sick earlier in the week. At times it was a bit challenging to entertain a 20 month old. But I am sure we will do it again soon.

Home Sick

You have been home sick this entire week. Not much of a appetite, and a bit crabby at times. You seem to over the fever you had earlier in the week. We are still hopeful that you will feel well enough to go camping on Friday.

Home Sick

You were home sick today. Fever this morning and just not feeling well, so I took you to see the doctor. She said the ears were fine and it wasn’t strep, but looked like the early stages of Hand, Foot & Mouth virus, since you have fever, some red blotches on your feet and a red throat.

Not feeling well

On Saturday we went to watch Brody’s baseball game, so you got to see Brody & Haleigh. Later that day you started to tug on your ears, not a good sign. Tonight you aren’t your normal self, and feel a bit warm. If not better in the morning we may need to get those ears checked to see that you don’t have another infection.

“NO” and “MINE”

Somewhere you have learned two new favorite words. “NO” and “Mine” Although they are not our favorite words.

Mucky

Several weeks ago you began calling your blanket “Mucky”. Not sure where the word came from or if you were saying My Blanky or possibly My Ducky, since it has a yellow duck on the front and you do know what a duck is. This weekend you pointed up and said Moon, you also ask for your TV shows by name now. Elmo, Barney or Wiggle. We stopped at the Dairy Queen on Sunday afternoon and as Daddy was giving you blizzard in the back seat I heard you say “More Daddy”. We have created an ice cream lover. You are also saying your name, but it comes out as “Madisunny”.
