Big & little

We went camping this weekend. It was very hot and you spent a fair amount of time in the pool. You also learned Big & Little. We did this with similar items like a big glass and a little glass. Also Tad is the big doll and Lily is the little doll. You have become quite attached to them lately. Although they haven’t replaced Mucky 1, 2 or 3.

Friends

This morning when I dropped you off at school you said, “Darian” when you saw his parents in the parking lot. When we entered the building you said “Hi Riley” who is about your age and in the same room.

Mateo

We had our monthly Dad’s group yesterday. We have missed many of them recently so it was good to get back into the group. You had a great time playing with Mateo and chasing each other around the house. You also played a bit with the puppy dog who was huge for being just 6 months old.

Adoption story

I told our adoption story yesterday at a brown bag lunch at Target. I included a few pictures of you from birth thru just last week at the zoo. Telling the story again just confirms what a miracle you are and how lucky we are to have you join our family. Everyday is a new found joy!

I did it

A few days ago you started to say “I Try” and “Lamp On” and “Lamp On”. Tonight while trying to put blocks together you said “I Did It”.

Thank You

You are learning Thank You and You’re Welcome. You also will say “I Try” when you see us eating something you haven’t had before. On Friday when we left to go camping, daddy picked you up from daycare and you turned and said “Bye Girls”. We went camping by St. Cloud this weekend, it was hot, but you had fun in the swimming pool with the big kids and also in your bug pool, that we filled outside of the camper. You enjoyed it much more then last time when you were a little bit sick.

Tonight we were sitting on the chair, winding down and getting ready for night night, when you turn and gave me a big hug and smile, then you turned back to your book and we continued with pictures and colors.

Zoo, Zoo, Zoo

We just got back from your first trip to the zoo. Como Park Zoo. You saw lions, tigers, monkeys, gorillas, zebras, sea lions, penquins and several other animals. Here is a baby giraffe poking his head out of the barn.

Potimus & Roo

“Where is potimus and where is roo?” Tonight you wanted to read “The Big Red Tub” and asked for the Hippopotimus and Kangaroo.

YES (to Ice Cream)

Tonight when we asked you a question you said “Yes”. This is the first or maybe the second time you didn’t answer with “No”. But then the question was “Do you want Ice Cream?”

Swim Party

Today we went to the neighbors for their annual July 4th swim party. You were in the water for more then an hour and even then did not really want to leave. Preston and Jacob really like to entertain you in the water with diving for toys and doing hand stands.

Later this evening you were listening to a song on one of your shows and started doing a fish tail motion with your hands. You clasped your hands and swished them from side to side and then just smiled when you saw me watching you.

4th of July

We headed up to Grandma & Grandpa’s for the 4th of July. You got to play with Sarah & Hannah, went for a couple of bike rides and got to swim in the lake. You really liked the water with your swim bug once you got in the first time. This picture is on your first boat ride. You gave Grandma & Grandpa a hug and kiss when we left. We came home this evening.
