Your friend Veronica came to visit today. We had brunch and you and Roni got to play kitchen for a few hours.

Monster

For a couple of days now you have been saying, “Uh Oh, What’s that, is it a monster?” Well I finally figured out it is a line in a Dora episode where they hear a giant far off over the hills with the hic ups.

Dark

This morning on the way to school you said “Papa it is very dark out”.

Jingle Bells

You sang Jingle Bells all by yourself today. The video of that performance is here.

Agody

While watching the Charlie Brown Christmas special there is a line where Linus says “why do you put me through such agony”, when he is told he must remember his lines.  Now as soon as we get to that spot in the video you say, “Agody, Agody”.

All Done?

We have been trying to better time when you eat supper to when we eat supper, and then have you stay in your chair until everyone is finished. So now about midway thru your lunch you start asking, “You all done?”

Bump

Today on the way to school you said “where is bump”.  After I said I did not know a few times, you then said, “bump is behind us”.  I am not sure what the bump is, but you figured out where it was.

Open & Close

Tonight while sitting on your potty, you wanted to read your Opposites book, which has over, under, big, small, new & old among others. Then you took your book and closed it and said “closed” opened it and said “open”.  So you figured out a set of opposites all on your own.

Karen is crying

While watching Frosty the Snowman, you say “Karen is crying” during the scene where Frosty has just melted, but then say, “but Santa will make her feel better.”

Nana’s House

Today you played with Nana. She also let you open one gift early, upon which you said “I love my present”. We taught you well.

Princess Madison

Today was our first full day at Nana’s house. You did really well on the long drive yesterday afternoon. When you woke up from your nap today you said, “I’m Princess Madison”. You obviously knew you were at Nana’s house.

Barney

Today when we got home from school the first thing you wanted to do was to feed Barney. You walked over to the cabinet where his food and bowl is stored. You tried to pull out the metal container where we store his food and pull off the cover. I helped pour the food into his bowl. Then you said “Eat Barney Eat, Eat Barney Eat”, in a rather demanding tone.

Kokopelli

You have learned to say “Kokopelli”. It is a doll we have in the basement bedroom that is part of our SW themed room. A pretty big word for a 2 year old.

“Chris Mus Lights”

For the last few days you are excited to see Christmas lights on at our house or any along the way to or from school. You pronounce them as “Chris Mus Lights”. Today daddy came home early and put up a small Christmas tree in your bedroom. You were very excited to see it.
