Sledding

We got a lot of snow on Saturday and over night so daddy took you sledding down the big pile of snow in the front yard. Preston and Jacob came over to sled with you.

When I got home I could see your rosey cheeks from a half a block away.

Kleenex

This morning when you woke up we could hear you talking in your room.  You said “daddy, I need a kleenex for my nose”.  Later you discovered that we have chapstick for you in apple and grape flavors, so now everytime we go in your room you say, “I need lip gloss”.

He he

You have been at times a bit crabby, we think it might be a 2 year molar coming in that is causing some discomfort.  And last week you even bit someone at school when you wanted to sit in her chair and she would not move.

When you laugh it has become more of a He He type laugh.

Apple

You were home today with daddy. Since it was Presidents day school was closed. In the morning you went to Target to pick up some groceries. You asked for a green apple which you held the entire time at the store.  Later in another aisle you said “It is delicious”.

I have an idea

Over the last few days here are some of the things you have said.  “I am a Girl”, and when we ask about others in your class you say “He is a boy” or “She is a girl”.  You also said “I have an idea” and when we asked you what it was you said “I have an idea”. 

 This morning we had brunch with Lisa, Dave & Haleigh and when Haleigh started to cry you said “Haleigh stop crying”.  Now if only you would remember that when you are crying over something trivial.

Largo & Corto

You have been obsessed with Dora for a few months now. Many of the words in Dora are in Spanish so you are starting to learn a new language. Tonights episode deals with music and the keys on a piano. You need complete a few notes on the piano bridge and they are either long or short. So during your evening snacks you started to say “Largo” for long and “Corto” for short. Later in the show Tico was playing a harmonica and you said “Monica”.

I overheard this conversation you had with daddy the other day. M-”I don’t want the book”, D-”Ok”,  M-”I want the book”,  D-”Ok you can have the book”, M-”I don’t want the book”,  D-”Ok”, M-”Don’t say OK”

Sticky Tape

Tonight while coloring you tore a page out of your Dora coloring book.  You said “Broken, daddy get sticky tape and fix it”.

Sick today

You were home sick today. You threw up twice yesterday and ran a low grade fever this morning, so we thought it best you stayed home from school today.

Play Doh

Today we moved your table upstairs and you had your first meal at it. Later in the evening we got out playdoh. This is the first time with it at home, although I think you have played with it before at school. You are very proud of the green banana daddy made for you.

Good Job

This weekend you started to tell us we did a good job. One time when papa was singing (even though I did not know all of the words) and then when daddy was coloring with you.  You would say, “Good Job Papa” and “Good Job Daddy”.

I’m Talking

Tonight during dinner we were all talking at the same time and you turned to the two of us and said “I’m Talking Guys”.
