Oh Bother

November 25, 2007 · Comments Off

We spent the weekend at Grandpa & Grandmas home and Sarah & Hannah where there also.  You got to play hide and seek and other games with your cousins.  On the way home you fell asleep in the car.  Once we got home, we brought you in the house where you fell asleep again on the chair.  Later when you woke I tried to talk to you, but you were a bit grumpy and said, “get away, you bother me”.

Stink

While walking through a parking lot if we see exhaust from a car you will stop and say, “I can’t go through the stink”.  Then just today while in the bathroom you said, “Turn the fan on, get the stink out”.  Funny since this is your own stink.

Play Room

November 17, 2007 · Comments Off

This morning we worked on your play room downstairs which we started weeks ago.  Kim came over to play with you and keep you entertained while we worked.  It is a long and dusty project.  The other day I was sneezing because of the dust and you said, “do you have a cold? you need to take a nap”.

Teacher

This morning while playing you wanted to wear my reading glasses.  You put them on, looked in the mirror, then slid them down to the end of your nose and said, “now I am the teacher, you sit down and listen to me”.

Not talking

November 6, 2007 · Comments Off

Tonight on the way to swimming lessons I asked you what you did in school today.  You did not answer so I asked again.  This time you responded, “I am not talking to you papa”.  I asked why and you responded, “I can’t talk because I am busy looking at the stars, moon and clouds papa.  I will talk to you when I am done looking”.

After swimming lessons on the way home you sighed and said “I am late, I am really tired, I swam too fast in swimming lessons tonight”.

Yellow Nebby

November 3, 2007 · Comments Off

Your asthma plan has three levels. Green from October to March with no symptoms is just one medicine once a day. Yellow is when you have some coughing and is two medicines twice a day. Red is when you have an asthma attack and you need to see a doctor soon. You have been lucky and had no red days. Yesterday you started to cough quite a bit so we started two medicines twice a day (yellow). Usually once you start yellow you do it for a week. So we will see how you react for the next several days.

Bad Day

November 1, 2007 · Comments Off

I just picked you up from school.  You looked very tired and had a runny nose.  On the way home you said “Papa I had a bad day.”  I asked you what happened and you said, “I ran around the classroom and yelled and screamed and that is how I was naughty.”
